Why do horses need overreach boots or bell boots? These boots are usually worn to prevent overreaching (when the horse "grabs" his front heels with the toes of his back feet, resulting in injury), or if the horse is wearing shoe studs, to protect him from accidentally injuring himself with the stud of the opposing hoof.
These boots are perfect for protecting against over-reach. We’ve used them several times a week and they have been fairly durable. This is now the second pair that I’ve purchased.
Really like the website and all the products available. Horze ProBell boots are good for paddock time and protecting the hoof but tear very easily and won’t last longer than 3 months.
